I recently had the opportunity to try some DHC Beauty products out, and I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. This was my first time using the brand, and I was excited to test out the products. The one I have for review today is the Rose Beauty Eye Zone Treatment Retouch Q10. It’s basically sleep in a pen! I have come to love these products that have a brush applicator and brighten and correct the under-eye area. I’ve tried many of them, from the very expensive (YSL Touche Eclat) to the drugstore brands. I put this one to the test and I have to say, given both the before/after results, and the overall price of this product, I have found a new staple under-eye product to add to my makeup routine.

DHC Rose Beauty Eye Zone Treatment Retouch Q10 is a brightening concealer. Sweetly scented Bulgarian rose oil conditions, and alpha-arbutin and coenzyme Q10 help brighten and firm. It instantly sweeps away hollows and discoloration, helping your eye area look firmer, brighter and more youthful. As I’ve gotten closer to being thirty, I have definitely paid more attention to my under-eye area. I’ve noticed the area needs more TLC in terms of a brightening and concealing product to hide away shadows and discoloration. For me, personally, if I have to apply just a few products, this is the type of product I consider essential because it makes my entire face look more awake and refreshed.
The product itself looks like a pen, and it has a brush tip applicator. You simply twist the bottom of the pen and product gets released out onto the brush tip.
It makes applying the product really easy and simple, and you don’t have to dip into the same product every day. I’ve been using under-eye brighteners and concealers like this for years and it’s still my favorite way to apply product before I blend it in.
BEFORE: Here is my eye before, with absolutely no makeup on. You can see that I have some minor discoloration around my eye area, especially in the hollows. Overall, the area doesn’t really look refreshed. You can see the discoloration and shadows of darkness.
I apply this product directly to my under-eye area and on my actual eyelid. It helps remove any veins or eyelid discoloration you might see. I like to apply a generous amount because I consider this to be the way I “highlight” the triangle on my face, from my under-eye area to down the side of my nose, and back to the outer corner of my eye. It’s an optical illusion to create a highlighted, reflective, gorgeously bright under-eye area. It lifts your cheekbones and makes your entire face look younger.
AFTER: My entire eyelid area now looks uniform in color. Discoloration and shadows have been erased, especially in the hollow portions of my facial structure. My eyelid is evened out and everything looks brighter and more awake!
BEFORE/AFTER COMPARISON:
I really, really love the results. The product feels super creamy, lightweight, and smooth when you apply it. To blend it out, I simply used my Beauty Blender sponge and I patted the product in (do not rub!). It blended well, like a second skin, and really brightened my under-eye area up big time.
My overall opinion is that anyone and everyone can use this product, no matter how old or young you are or what your skin type is. It really brightens the eye area and covers up any dark circles or shadows. I like that the product contains ingredients that will help the overall appearance of my eye area to look better over time, as well.
DHC Skin Rose Beauty Eye Zone Treatment Retouch Q10 comes in two shades: Buff and Peach. Peach is especially good if you’re battling very blue, dark under-eye circles because peach counteracts it on a color wheel. Each product retails for $16.00 USD for 0.05 fl oz.
