By now, you should know that I have a love affair with Dermalogica going on. I use so many of their products to keep my skin looking fresh, healthy, and forever young. One of my favorite products, however, is this Daily Microfoliant. It’s a best-seller of Dermalogica’s and it’s not hard to see why. It’s an extremely gentle exfoliant for your face that comes in powder form. If you’ve never used a powder exfoliant before, prepare to be amazed. You can control exactly how much product you need each time and create your own “paste” by mixing the powder with some water. It’s the ultimate form of customization for your skin.

 

This product has a rice-based powder formula that activates upon contact with water. It has Papain, Salicylic Acid, and Rice Enzymes in it to gently scrub away dead skin cells. It also contains ingredients in it to help soothe the skin, so if you’ve got sensitive skin, you can still use this product. It’s meant to be gentle enough to be used on a daily basis. It’s formulated without any artificial fragrances or colors.

 

The top of the product really dispenses the perfect amount of product. One of the things I love most is how little product you need each time you use it. A half teaspoon of powder in your hand is more than enough each time you use it.

 

Once you add a bit of water and create a paste, you can scrub your face with it. I’ve never felt such a soothing, gentle exfoliant before. You can tell it’s scrubbing away dead skin cells, but it’s not scratching your skin. Exfoliating can be a tricky business, as many on the market are far too abrasive or irritate sensitive skin. I feel really comfortable knowing that this one is gentle enough not to cause any damage to my skin. When I rinse my face, it feels like baby skin! Soft, smooth, and renewed. It only took one use for me to fall in love with this product. I use it on a daily basis and I know it’s only a matter of time before I need to purchase a new bottle of it!
