This is sort of a hybrid between a makeup look and a review on a new gel liner I bought from Inglot. I purchased the Inglot Matte Collection AMC Eyeliner in #77, which is a jet black gel liner, and I absolutely love it. It’s more pigmented and black than any other gel liner I’ve used in the past and this stuff stays put for hours upon hours. For this look, I added a matte cranberry shade to the socket of my eye and kept the eyelid neutral with a shimmering champagne color. I’ve got the full look inside,
This would be a typical weekend look for me. I enjoy wearing makeup on the weekend because I have a little more time to actually sit down and apply it. I decided to go with a shimmering champagne shade on the eyelid to add some light to my eyes. Using a fluffy blending brush, I blended a light matte brown into the crease of my eye, extending it upward toward my brow-bone. Then, with a smaller precise crease brush (I used the Sigma E36), I blended a matte cranberry shade into the socket of my eye only, layering it a couple of times so that it’s pronounced. The effect creates a natural looking eye crease with the light matte brown, but then there is that pop of cranberry in the deepest part of your eye. I added my Inglot Matte Collecton AMC Eyeliner in #77 to my upper lash-line and flicked it out. I also applied the cranberry shade to my lower lash-line to tie the look together. If you have a flesh colored or white eyeliner, apply it to your bottom water-line. This opens your eyes up and makes them look super round, wide, and awake!
For my face, I used MAKE UP FOR EVER’s Mat Velvet Foundation, Too Faced’s “Hotel Heiress” Bronzer (to contour), and Josie Maran’s Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee in “Pink Escape.” For my brows, I used It Cosmetics Universal Eyebrow Pencil. I topped off my lips with a nude-pink lipstick to tie it all together.
I really, really love Inglot’s Matte AMC Eyeliner. My MAC “Blacktrack” Fluidline has gotten quite dry because I’ve had it for awhile, and I’ve found that I really love the Inglot liner even better. I find it to be incredibly smooth and easy to apply. I used Inglot’s 30T brush, which is a bent eyeliner brush, to apply it. Sonia Kashuk also has an amazing bent eyeliner brush that you can find at Target. Bent eyeliner brushes make it incredibly easy to apply liner so that it looks straight and precise.
I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!
