The COVERGIRL #GirlsCan campaign promotes the empowerment of women by encouraging them to break down barriers and turn “can’t” into “can.” I’ve been told many times that I can’t do something and it always motivates me to reach my goals. One of the most ironic “can’t” into a “can” stories for me is this website! I never thought several years ago that I would have my own website, blog, and makeup artistry business. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit since I was a kid. At twelve, I started a girl’s “e-zine” on AOL, and had over 5,000 subscribers, which at that time, was huge. I was featured in magazines such as Girl’s Life. When I was in my twenties, I knew I wanted to do something related to makeup or beauty, and incorporate my photography and writing skills into it. 4 1/2 years later, I am happily plugging away at my blog, posting several times per week and living my dream. It’s more proof that you can turn your “can’t” into a CAN with determination and hard work.
