I’ve been trying to get back into the swing of things slowly after having a horrible bout of viral bronchitis. This is the fifth day that I’ve been sick, and the first day that I haven’t had a high fever, so it seems I’m finally on the mend. It’s been a very rough several days, and I’ve missed updating and playing with makeup. This MAC Cosmetics Pro Longwear Paint Pot in “Eclair” is limited edition from the “Baking Beauties” Collection. I love MAC Paint Pot’s, and they are some of my most-used products in my makeup collection, just because they are fantastic for everything from an eyeshadow base to eyeliner to just a plain eyeshadow itself. I’ve got plenty of swatches inside!
Eclair is a light chocolate with gold pearl. I was instantly attracted to this one because it’s such a beautiful, versatile shade that will go with absolutely any skin tone, any eye color, and any makeup look. It will work great as a base for layering eyeshadow, but it’s also a fantastic shade to just pop on the eyelids and go in a pinch.
The golden pearl and sheen this has in it is very fine but it’s noticeable, and it makes the chocolate brown color that much more stunning. This is essentially my “go-to” eyeshadow shade for when I’m in a hurry and need to pop something onto my eyelids quickly, curl my lashes, and be out the door.
You can see just how gorgeous Eclair is on the eyes above! It applies like a buttery chocolate brown that almost has a bit of a golden-metallic flash to it. For the look, all I did was smooth Eclair over my entire eyelid and lower lash-line, curl my lashes, and apply mascara.
Overall: If you’re a fan of MAC Paint Pot’s, I would definitely check out “Eclair,” which is a stunning chocolate brown with gold pearl in it. It’s a versatile shade that can be used on absolutely anyone.
MAC Paint Pot in Eclair is limited edition as part of the Spring 2013 “Baking Beauties” Collection. You can purchase this online at MAC’s website. Each Paint Pot retails for $18.50 USD. I’m personally a huge fan of MAC Paint Pot’s because you can use them as regular eyeshadow shades, as an eyeshadow primer or base, and as an eyeliner.
