With Labor Day behind us, it is sort of the official unofficial start of autumn. The kids are going back to school and the summer has come to a close. I’ve been really into anything and everything fall inspired. This makeup look is inspired by autumn leaves, the ones that fly up in the air when a brisk wind takes them flying and then gracefully land back down in a big pile on the ground. I used the Sephora + Pantone Elemental Energy Eyeshadow Palette for this look, and you can get full details inside,

I used the FIRE section of the palette because the colors reminded me so much of fall. I especially fell in love with that sparkling copper shade because it’s bright and has gold micro-glitter in it. For this look:
- Apply a sparkling copper shade over your entire eyelid and along your lower lash-line.
- Blend out the crease with a bright coral shade (I used the bottom left shade). This adds a brightness and contrast that will peak through in the socket.
- Apply a matte dark brown into the outer-third of your eye, top and bottom. Blend it well so that it looks slightly smoky.
- Apply a matte off-white to your brow-bone and inner corners of your eyes.
I also applied black liner to my lower water-line and smudged it out for extra effect. The copper REALLY brings out blue eyes, so if you want them to look even more piercing, black eyeliner is the way to go.
The eyeshadow shades applied beautifully. They were smooth and pigmented and allowed me to blend them well without looking muddy. The look is sparkling and fiery on the eyelid with a smokiness in the outer corners. The pop of black eyeliner against the brightness of the copper orange really stands out. It’s very autumnal!
This will look great on any eye color, but you blue-eyed babes will especially love this look because it will bring out your eye color. If you’ve got brown eyes, the warmth of the copper and gold will also look fantastic against your eye color!
