Happy Saturday! Today was quite the awful weather day, with high winds and torrential downpours, but I still managed to head out and enjoy Saturday lunch with the family, as well as do some healthy food shopping. When I went out, this is the makeup that I wore. This is what I like to call the Alluring, Everyday Makeup Look, because it’s just enough to bring out your features, make your face glow, and make you feel sexy, without being over the top. Inside, I’ve got the full rundown of products I used, but as always, feel free to use any similar products you may have in your makeup collection.
[Some products may be press samples.]
THE EYE MAKEUP: The eye makeup is a chocolate brown smokey eye. A light shimmering brown is used on the eyelid, and a medium shimmering brown is used in the outer crease of the eye. A matte black shade is used at the very edge of the eyelid, just for added definition. Be sure to blend out everything well. The more you blend, the softer the gradients will be, which is part of what makes this good for everyday. I also applied the light brown shimmer to my lower lash-line, and darkened the lower lash-line on the outer-third with the medium shimmering brown shade. I used a light champagne shimmer on the brow-bone to draw light to that area. I also used a flesh-toned eye liner on my lower water-line to open up the eye. The finishing touch was to curl my lashes and apply mascara. The end result is a shimmering chocolate brown smokey eye that brings out your eye color.
- LORAC Pro Eyeshadow Palette
- Stila Kajal Eyeliner in “Topaz”
- Too Faced “Better Than Sex” Mascara
THE LIPSTICK: The lips are lined with a nude pencil and then filled in with a light pink lipstick. The nude lip liner makes the lips look slightly exaggerated and the light pink lipstick bounces light off of your lips, making them look bigger. The lipstick is feminine and perfect for everyday wear.
- Milani Lip Liner in “Nude”
- Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in “Native”
THE FACE MAKEUP: The skin shines through so that the look is somewhat natural. Bronzer is used along the temples and in the hollows of the cheeks to bring warmth to the face. Pink blush is applied to the apples of the cheeks only. A highlighter is used generously along the upper cheekbones and the middle of the nose. The look is all about the glow!
- Revlon Photoready Foundation in “Natural Beige”
- Revlon Photoready Concealer in “Light”
- Physician’s Formula Super BB Powder in “Light/Medium”
- Tarte “Hotel Heiress” Bronzer
- Smashbox Blush Rush in “Radiance”

THE FINISHED LOOK:
A makeup look you can feel confident wearing during the daytime, but still has sex appeal to it. It highlights your features, gives you confidence, and makes your eyes and lips look alluring!
