The day A Novel Romance launched on MAC’s website, I actually got to the website too late to order any of the lipsticks. They sold out very quickly and Good Kisser was definitely one of the prized pieces from the collection. The whole concept behind A Novel Romance is exactly what it sounds like…a romance novel cover and theme. The promotional pictures are actually really cheeky and I love the idea behind it. Good Kisser is a hot fuchsia that lights up on the lips. You know I adore my bright fuchsia pink shades, so I had to grab this one. I’ve got full swatches and my review inside!
Good Kisser is a matte mid-tone fuchsia. I LOVE that it’s matte. When you combine a bright fuchsia shade with a matte finish, I am all in. What I like about this shade in particular is that it doesn’t lean too cool or too warm, so any skin tone can wear this shade and make it look great. I just recently made a change from blonde balayage-highlighted hair to a dark violet red, and it looks great against both of those hair colors.
As usual with MAC lipsticks, Good Kisser has great color payoff. It’s bright and gorgeous!
I love wearing bright fuchsia pink lips with a bit of sparkle on my eyes and black winged liner. It’s sort of a modern day twist on the pin-up look.
The result is fun, flirty, and modern. I wore this out only to go grocery shopping, but that’s okay! The matte finish really keeps the look from being over-the-top fancy, and I love how chic matte, fuchsia lips look.
MAC Good Kisser Lipstick is currently available as part of the limited edition A Novel Romance collection, both online and at MAC stores nationwide. Each lipstick retails for $16.00 USD. Also, be sure to check out the Electric Cool Eyeshadow’s in the collection. They have a really cool bouncy, creamy, pigmented formula to them that dries down to a long-lasting powder finish. I want to pick up some more for my collection!
